Volunteer Opportunities
The Burwell School welcomes volunteers.
Below is our current list of volunteer opportunities.

- Volunteer Docents
We are looking for energetic and enthusiastic people
to lead walk-in and group tours of the Burwell School.
Docent-led tours focus on life at the Burwell School
from 1835 - 1857. Training is provided. For more information,
please contact us.
- Heritage Education Volunteers
We are seeking out-going people to lead interactive, hands-on,
heritage education programs. Must work well with children
ages 5-14. Previous teaching experience a plus, but
not necessary. Training provided. For information
please contact us.
Coming from Chapel Hill and need transportation? The
TTA runs bus route 420 all day from UNC to Hillsborough.
